Kernel Market Research branding & website

Project Description

We worked with Kernel Market Research, which is based in Portland, Oregon, to help create an identity – company name, logo, tag line, key messages – and then apply that identity when we created the company’s new website. The name, kernel, was selected because it reflects the target of Kernel’s focus group work, which is to uncover the kernel of truth that can lead to new ideas and successful campaigns for its clients. Our goal with the website was to create a site that was, at once, both professional and somewhat light-hearted. To help achieve the right look and feel, we worked with Portland illustrators Jolby & Friends.

“Whether you know a lot about website architecture and design or very little (true in my case) then I urge you to consider at least having a chat with Lisa and John. I did and within five minutes I knew that these two delightful people were exactly who I needed to guide me through the process of crafting a site which would help build my nascent brand. They offer that compelling blend of mad visionary and grounded pragmatist – the very best of both worlds when you are looking to create a site which is both distinct and persuasive. They are creative, passionate, caring and so very patient as you meander together through the unchartered process of arriving at a site of which you can be proud. So, not only do you get expertise but it’s delivered with a customer-service orientation I found to be exemplary – they really are a joy to work with and nothing is too much trouble. They simply want to get it ‘right’ for you.

Like I said, take five minutes and give them a call. You have nothing to lose and, I would venture, a great deal to gain.”
